Wow! What fun it was to create my own digital poem and record it. This was my first experience with digital storytelling and it was so easy. I can envision utilizing sites like the one I used to let students create and illustrate their own story or video over a concept or research topic and presenting it to the class. This is a terrific way to get our students to higher, more critial levels of thinking and learning, and is another way to engage students. I love the fact that students can teach other students information about what they learned.
Here is the motivational poem I wrote about chasing your dreams. I plan to give this link and a copy of the poem to each of my fourth grade students as a year end gift.
